My boyfriend and I had found a studio just east of West Hollywood. It's tiny, but it's in a vintage building with hardwood floor and really awesome tile in the kitchen and bathroom. We've been slowly moving everything in over the past month. Moving really does suck, but the good thing about it is that I get to throw old things away. Not only is my load lighter, but I feel like I'm lighter, too. I just have less clutter to worry about. I'm truly a minimalist at heart, so getting rid of stuff I don't use or haven't used in a year or more feels so good.
My parents are on their way right now down here to pick up my fridge, couch and some other furniture. I'm glad I have them, because I wasn't able to sell my couch. I only got people jerking me around saying they'd come buy it, but guess what people? It's the end of the month and I HAVE TO GET OUT. I really wish people were more sensitive to these sorts of things, but whatever. I'll have fun writing an email as to why she can't come get the couch tomorrow or Sunday, though. :)
This whole weekend I'll be putting stuff away and throwing it away (you'd be surprised how many bathroom items I own!!). I'm quite excited about that. I definitely need to make room for my boyfriend because I want him to feel like this is his place, too. I think right now I'm going to go to Target and buy a new comforter set - the one I have no longer matches, plus it's 4 years old but looks easily 20. Cats do that to things you like. :|
